In the spring of 2003, several volunteers from First Baptist spent a week of service and ministry working with families in Progreso, Texas.  Since then, the Progreso trip has become an annual project.  In order to have a stronger commitment to the area, we have formed a partnership with a sister church in Progreso -- Iglesia Bautista Sublime Gracia.  Along with support from the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of Texas and Buckner Baptist Benevolences, we help with construction projects, childrens ministry and community outreach in the Rio Grande Valley.
